introduction | 4-fluoro-3-nitroanisole is an ether organic substance, which can be obtained by alkylation with methyl iodide from 4-fluoro-3-nitrophenol. |
use | 4-fluoro-3-nitroanisole is a pharmaceutical intermediate. it has been reported in the literature that it can be used to prepare RIPK1 inhibitors. the activity of RIPK1 kinase plays a key role in TNF-α-induced cell death. |
preparation | 4-fluoro-3-nitrophenol (3.14g) is dissolved in acetone (40 ml). Add methyl iodide (5.68g) and potassium carbonate (5.53 g) to the solution, and stir the mixture at 40°C for 6 hours. Then, dichloromethane (50 ml) is added to it, filtered to remove insoluble substances, and the filtrate is concentrated under reduced pressure. Dissolve the residue in ethyl acetate (50 ml). Wash the organic layer with 1N sodium hydroxide aqueous solution, water and brine, dry with sodium sulfate, and filter. The filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to obtain 4-fluoro-3-nitroanisole (3.47g) brown oil. |
